Our Mission

The Downtown Soup Kitchen exists to demonstrate God’s heart for the hungry and homeless in Anchorage, Alaska

The Downtown Soup Kitchen:

  • Serves up to 400 cups of soup daily.
  • Prepares over 100,000 meals annually.
  • Provides emergency clothing and showers.
  • Relies on the support of more than 100 volunteers.
  • Receives majority of funding from individual donations.

The DSK, located between 4th and 5th Avenues off Eagle Street, serves a lunch of soup and sandwiches to Anchorage’s homeless and working poor Monday through Friday year-round.
